Ordinance No. 2,479U, 3- 7S ORDINANCE NO. 2479 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN ADDING GINGER CREEK SUBDIVISION TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 6; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown provides that the City Council shall redistrict the City if the growth of the City justifies; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed territory, Ginger Creek Subdivision in a Council District; l°� NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: Council District No. 6 is hereby redistricted by the addition of Ginger Creek Subdivision which is more particularly described as follows: Describing a 60.858 acre tract of land in the G.C. & S.F. RR Survey Abstract 1017, being Lot 16 and part of Lot 15 in Block 129, Unit "D" Elena Fruit and Cotton Farms as recorded in Volume 7, pages 48 and 49 of the Map Records of Harris County, Texas, and more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING of the sou Bayou Road Road, said 10 of said at a 1/2" iron rod marking the intersection therly right -of -way line of Lynchburg - Cedar and the westerly right -of -way line of Bush point also being the northeast corner of Lot Elena Fruit and Cotton Farms; THENCE, North 780 30' 00" West, along the southerly right -of -way of Lynchburg - Cedar Bayou Road, a distance of 1,758.74 feet to a 3/8" iron rod marking the POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE, South a distance of 1,395.46 feet to a 3/8" iron rod marking a point in the existing City of Baytown city limit line, said point also being in the northerly line of the Harvey Whiting Survey, Abstract 840; THENCE, West along said City of Baytown northerly city limit line, a distance of 1,559.68 feet to a 3/8" iron rod marking the easterly shore line of Goose Creek; THENCE, North 190 3' 41" West along the easterly shore line of Goose Creek, a distance of 281.85 feet to a 1/2" iron rod; THENCE, North 270 23' 24" West, along the easterly shore line of Goose Creek, a distance of 290.00 feet to a 1/2" iron rod; ka ^ 80608 -1a THENCE, North 150 44' 56" East, continuing along the easterly shore line of Goose Creek, a distance of 257.70 feet to a 1/2" iron rod; THENCE, North 050 47' 44" East, continuing along the easterly shore line of Goose Creek, a distance of 708.69 feet to a 1/2" iron rod; THENCE, North 290 54' 48" West, continuing along the easterly shore line of Goose Creek, a distance of 330.42 feet to a 2" cyclone fence post marking the intersection of the easterly shore line of Goose Creek with the southerly right -of -way line of Lynchburg - Cedar Bayou Road; THENCE, South 780 30' 0" East along the southerly right -of -way of Lynchburg - Cedar Bayou Road, a distance of 1,845.54 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
