AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF TIRES BY ACCEPTING THE
BIDS OF GOODYEAR "SEXSON TIRE COMPANY" FOR ITEM NOS. I
AND IV; CITY TIRE SERVICE FOR ITEM NOS. III, V, VI,
VII, VIII, AND IX; AND B. F. GOODRICH COMPANY FOR ITEM
NO. II OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN BID NO 784 -55; AND AUTHO-
RIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN FOR EACH ITEM AS
SET OUT BELOW.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City
of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of tires
to be received April 17, 1978; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place,
when and where the contract would be let was published
pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of
the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City
Hall at 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 17, 1978, as per published
notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Goodyear "Sexson Tire Company"
for the purchase of tires, Item Nos. I and IV and authorizes
payment as follows:

Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby accepts the bid of City Tire Service for the
purchase of tires, Item Nos. III, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX and

Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
