Ordinance No. 2,458ORDINANCE NO. 2458 8697 -7 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, DESIGNATING CARY BAYOU AS A NO WAKE ZONE; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown is hereby amended by the amendment of Chapter 17, "Miscellaneous Provisions and Offenses," Section 17 -21.1, by the addition of a new subsection (b), which shall read as follows: Sec. 17 -21.1. Designation of no wake zones. (b) All of Cary Bayou, from the Raccoon Drive bridge to Cedar Bayou. Section 2: That the Director of Planning and Traffic is authorized and directed to cause the proper signs to be posted as designated above. Section 3: Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two Hundred ($200) Dollars, and each violation shall constitute a separate offense.
