AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, BY THE AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 7,
"BUILDINGS ", SECTION 7 -2, PROPERTY DELETED FROM FIRE
ZONES, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SUB - SECTION (h),
REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Baytown, Texas, is hereby amended by amending Chapter 7,
"Buildings ", Section 7 -2, Property deleted from fire zones,
by the addition of a new sub - section (h), which shall read
as follows, to wit:
(h) Beginning at a point on the north right -of -way
line of Spur 201, said point being the southeast
corner of Reserve "B," of the plat of Fair Park
Addition, Section 1, in the City of Baytown,
Harris County, Texas;
Thence, south 800 15" 30' west along said right -
of -way line a distance of 30 feet;
Thence, north 00 22" 0' west approximately 144
feet;
Thence, north 800 38" 30' east approximately 30
feet to a point on the east line of said tract
known as Reserve "B ";
Thence, south 00 22" 0' east to the point of
beginning.
Section 2: Repealing Clause: All ordinances or parts
of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance
are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal
shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all
other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other
ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter
covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: Savings Clause:

If any provision, section,
exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to any person
or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held uncon-
stitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this
ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of
circumstances and to this end all provisions of this ordi-
nance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take
effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the
City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council of the City of Baytown this 9th day
of March 1978.
