Ordinance No. 2,4185W M ORDINANCE NO. 2418 80223 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF BAYTOWN ELECTRIC CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT TO BE INSTALLED AT THE MARKET AND CARNEGIE STREET INTERSECTION AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF THE SUM OF THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY -EIGHT AND N01100 ($3,268.00) DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH ACCEPTANCE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the administration of the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase and installation of traffic signal equipment to be installed at the Market and Carnegie Street intersection to be received February 17, 1978; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 9:30 a.m., Friday, February 17, 1978, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section l: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Baytown Electric Corporation according to the plans and specifications set forth by the administration for the sum of Three Thousand Two Hundred Sixty -Eight and No /100 ($3,268.00) Dollars.
