Ordinance No. 2,397id ORDINANCE NO. 2397 80126 -2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 34, "WASTE DISPOSAL," BY PROHIBITING WASTE DISCHARGE FROM TANK TRUCKS INTO THE SEWERS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN AND BY ABOLISHING TANK TRUCK PERMITS; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; ESTABLISHING A MAXIMUM FINE OF TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR EACH VIOLATION; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That Chapter 34, "Waste Disposal," of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown, Texas, is hereby amended by the repeal of Article I, In General, as presently constituted and by substituting in its place a new Article I, which shall read as follows, to -wit: ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL Sec. 34 -1. Tank truck waste discharge. It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any industrial or domestic waste or wastewater from any tank truck or vehicle into any sewer, manway, manhole, street or public sewage treatment plant within the City of Baytown. Each day an offense is committed shall constitute a separate offense. Section 5: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect from and after thirty (30) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this ordinance.
