Ordinance No. 2,386W ORDINANCE NO. 2386 t%ZU4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING, THE BID OF BAYTOWN MOTORS, INC. FOR POLICE PATROL VEHICLES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN BID NO. 7710 -8, AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF TEN THOUSAND SEVENTY -NINE AND 64/100 ($10,079.64) DOLLARS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of police and fire patrol vehicles to be received October 20, 1977; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 1977, as per published notice to bidders; and WHEREAS, on October 27, 1977, the City Council authorized the purchase of 7 police vehicles and reserved the right to purchase 2 additional police patrol vehicles for the same unit price; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section l: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby ai City of Baytown patrol vehicles Thirty -Nine and authorizing the Nine and 64/100 acceptance. ;cepts the bid of Baytown Motors, Inc. for Bid No. 7710 -8, for 2 additional police on a unit price basis of Five Thousand 82/100 ($5,039.82) Dollars per unit, and payment of the sum of Ten Thousand Seventy - ($10,079.64) Dollars with regard to such 8205 W Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
