AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, DECLARING THAT AN EMERGENCY SITUATION EXISTS;
ACCEPTING THE BID OF LAYNE TEXAS COMPANY FOR THE EMERGENCY
REPLACEMENT OF A WATER WELL MOTOR; AUTHORIZING THE
PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND
N01100 ($1,800-00) DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH ACCEPTANCE;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, a water PumP motor on a city water well is in
a present state of disrepair; and
WHEREAS, the replacement of the electric motor for:,
municipal water service is necessary for the preservation
and Protection of the health, welfare, and safety of the
citizens of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, considering the above, the City Council of the
City of Baytown deems that an emergency situation exists;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas hereby declares that an emergency situation exists.
Section 2: That the bid of Layne Texas Company for one
electric motor is hereby accepted, and the payment of the
sum of One Thousand Eight Hundred and No/100 ($1,800.00)
Dollars is hereby authorized.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its Passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council of the City of Baytown this 27th day
