ORDINANCE NO. 2357
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF BAYTOWN MOTORS, INC. FOR
POLICE AND FIRE PATROL VEHICLES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
BID NO. 7710 -8, AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY
OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF FIFTY -NINE THOUSAND EIGHT
HUNDRED FIFTY -TWO AND 24/100 ($59,852.24) DOLLARS WITH
REGARD TO SUCH ACCEPTANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City
of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of police
and fire patrol vehicles to be received October 20, 1977;
and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place,
when and where the contract would be let was published
pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of
the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City
Hall at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 1977, as per published
notice to bidders: NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Baytown Motors, Inc. for
City of Baytown Bid No. 7710 -8, for 7 police patrol vehicles
and 1 fire patrol vehicle on a unit price basis of Five
Thousand Thirty -Nine and 82/100 ($5,039.82) Dollars per
unit, reserving the right to exercise an option to purchase
2 additional police patrol vehicles for the same unit price,
and for 4 four door sedans on a unit price basis of Four
Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty -Three and 42/100 ($4,883.42)
Dollars per unit, and authorizing the payment of the sum of
Fifty -Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty -Two and 24/100 ($59,852.24)
Dollars with regard to such acceptance.

Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City
of Baytown, Texas.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council on this 27th day of October , 1977.
