AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE VI,
ADMINISTRATIVE FEES AND CHARGES, BY AMENDING SECTION
2 -120 TO INCREASE THE CHARGE FOR CERTIFIED COPIES OF
BIRTH AND DEATH RECORDS TO $3.00 EACH; REPEALING ORDI-
NANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That Chapter 2, "Administration," of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown, Texas, is hereby
amended by the amendment of Article VI, Administrative Fees
and Charges, Section 2 -120, Public records and documents;
fee schedule for copies, by the repeal of subsection (e) as
presently constituted, and by the addition of a new sub-
section (e) that shall read as follows, to -wit:

Section 3: Savings Clause: If any provision, section,
exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to any person
or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held uncon-
stitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this
ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of
circumstances and to this end all provisions of this ordi-
nance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take
effect January 1, 1978.
