ORDINANCE NO. 2322
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF AN EASEMENT
ACROSS LAND OWNED BY NORTHSHORE LANES, INC.; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OF THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND
TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($1,200.00) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby authorizes the acquisition from Northshore
Lanes, Inc. of an easement for utility purposes, said easement
described as follows, to -wit:
Being a permanent utility easement along side, and partially
across that certain 5.9 acre tract of land conveyed to
Northshore Lanes Inc., Max Tribble, President, as recorded
under Harris County Clerk's File No. E639348 dated January
2, 1976; said tract being out of the William Scott Upper
League Survey, A -66; said permanent utility easement being
further described as follows:
Commencing at a 3/4 -inch iron rod at the southwest
property corner of the tract for Point of Beginning,
said corner also being in the east line of the Hill of
Rest Cemetery tract and in the north right -of -way line
of Market Street; and also being in a southwesterly
direction along the north right -of -way line 182.50
feet, more or less, from a 5/8 -inch iron rod for corner,
said iron rod also being approximately on center line
of Carnegie Street;
THENCE, northerly 37 feet with the west property line
with a section 22 feet wide for easement at the north
right -of -way line of Market Street narrowing to 16 foot
width at the 37 foot distance;
THENCE, continuing northerly with the west property
line 266 feet additionally with a section 16 feet wide
for easement, in all a distance of 303 feet from the
southwest property corner for a point for corner on the
center line of the easement;
THENCE, northeasterly of an approximate angle of 450 to
the right a distance of 280 feet, more or less, along
the center line of a 16 foot wide section for easement
to the approximate easement containing an existing
sanitary sewer line, and for point of ending, a total
length in all of 583 feet, more or less, and containing
9,450 square feet, more or less.

Section 2: That payment to the said Northshore Lanes,
Inc. in the amount of One Thousand Two Hundred and No /100
($1,200.00) Dollars is hereby authorized and directed.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall take effect from
and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown, Texas.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council this 22nd day of September 1977.
