AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL OF A STOP SIGN AT A
CERTAIN INTERSECTION AND THE POSTING OF A YIELD SIGN AT
A CERTAIN INTERSECTION; PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY
OF TWO HUNDRED AND N01100 ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION
AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section l: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, pursuant to the provisions of Article 6701d, Vernon's
Texas Civil Statutes, does declare the following described
intersection will no longer be a stop intersection, to -wit:
Missouri Street and Wyoming Street
Section 2: The Director of Planning and Traffic is
authorized and directed to cause the removal of the stop
sign at the above described location.
Section 3: And further, the City Council of the City
of Baytown, Texas, pursuant to the provisions of Article
6701d, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, does declare the
following described intersection to be a yield intersection,
to -wit:
Wyoming Street and Missouri Street
Section 4: The Director of Planning and Traffic is
authorized and directed to cause the proper sign to be
posted at the above described location.
Section 5: It shall be unlawful for a driver of a
vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, unless at
the time otherwise directed by a police officer.

Section 6: Any person violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two
Hundred ($200.00) Dollars, and each violation shall constitute
a separate offense.
Section 7: This ordinance shall take effect from and
after ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by
causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice
within ten (10) days after the passage of this ordinance.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council of the City of Baytown on this 25th
day of August 1977.
