AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 899 TO EXCLUDE CERTAIN
AREAS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN FROM INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
NO. 3; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, adopted Resolution No. 514 setting forth an Industrial
District Policy for the City of Baytown on July 10, 1975;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Industrial District
Policy set forth in Resolution No. 514 certain portions of
Industrial District No. 3 have been annexed to the City of
Baytown and are no longer within Industrial District No. 3
and as such, should be deleted from the provisions of Ordinance
No. 899 adopted the 26th day of October, 1967, designating a
part of the City of Baytown's extraterritorial jurisdiction
as Baytown Industrial District No. 3; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the hereinafter described tracts of
land are hereby deleted from Industrial District No. 3:
Beginning at a point on the mean high tide line of the North
bank of Cedar Bayou, said point being located on the existing
city limit line of Baytown, Texas, established by City
Ordinance No. 407 -A, 04- 12 -57, and having South Texas Plan
coordinates X= 3,292,059+ and Y= 720,158 +.
THENCE, from the Point of Beginning, South 120 10' 50"
East, 1459+ to a point for corner;
THENCE, North 770 49' 10" East, 2403+ to a point for
corner;
THENCE, South 120 10' 50" East, 500+ to a point for the
most Southeasterly corner;
THENCE, South 770 49' 10 "+ West, 3635+ to a point on
the mean high tide line of the West bank of Cedar
Bayou;

Section 3: Savings Clause: If any provision, section,
exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance or the application of same to any person
or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held uncon-
stitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this
ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of
circumstances and to this end all provisions of this ordinance
are declared to be severable.
Section 4: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take
effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the
City of Baytown.
