Ordinance No. 2,289la ORDINANCE NO. 2289 7 834 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF VALLEN CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ESTIMATED QUANTITIES OF COMPRESSED AIR BREATHING APPARATUS AND REPLACEMENT PARTS ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS, WITH THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO BE BASED UPON THE ACTUAL QUANTITIES SUPPLIED AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of estimated quantities of compressed air breathing apparatus and replacement _ parts on a unit price basis to be received July 27, 1977; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 27, 1977, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Vallen Corporation for the purchase of compressed air breathing apparatus and replacement parts in accordance with the invitation to bid and specifications of the City of Baytown as follows: 7835 ESTIMATED ESTIMATED QUANTITY DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE TOTAL PRICE 26 Breathing Apparatus $622.00 $16,172.00 52 Spare bottles $186.00 $ 9,672.00 5 Spare regulators $113.50 $ 567.50 30 Spare mask $ 23.00 $ 690.00 10 Spare face pieces $ 15.00 $ 150.00 TOTAL BID $27,251.50 with the compensation to be paid to be based upon the actual quantities supplied. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
