ORDINANCE NO. 2274
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF 0.30 ACRES OR 12,873.80
SQUARE FEET, MORE OR LESS, FROM AMELIA JONES' HEIRS OR
OTHER PARTIES OF INTEREST; AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY
THE CITY OF THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIXTEEN
AND 12/100 ($1,416.12) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby authorizes the purchase of 0.30 acres or
12,873.80 square feet, more or less, being particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
A tract or parcel of land out of that certain 36.46 acre
tract of land situated in the Harvey Whiting Survey, Abstract
No. 840, as described in partition deed dated June 20, 1929
from Willie E. Tabb et al to Mrs. Amelia S. Jones et al,
recorded in Volume 811, Page 454 of Harris County Deed
Records, said tract of land described as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of Block 24 of the Jones
Addition to the City of Pelly, Texas (now Baytown, Texas);
THENCE, south 00 0' west 40 feet more or less to a
corner;
THENCE, south 700 44' west 5.26 feet more or less to
the Point of Beginning;
THENCE, continuing south 700 44' west 21.06 feet more
or less to a corner located in the east line of a tract
of land conveyed by 0. A. Dyer to C. G. Pitrucha et ux
by deed recorded in Volume 5083 at Page 383 et seq.,
Harris County Deed Records;
THENCE, south 00 0' west along said east line 643.69
feet more or less to a corner located in the north
right of way line of State Highway No. 146;
THENCE, north 690 07' east 21.06 feet more or less
along the north right of way line of State Highway No.
146 to a corner;
Thence, north 00 0' east 643.69 feet more or less to
the Point of Beginning and enclosing .30 acre of land
more or less.

from the heirs of Amelia Jones, Mr. R. 0. Busch representative,
or other parties of interest and authorizing payment by the
City of a sum of One Thousand Four Hundred Sixteen and
12/100 ($1,416.12) Dollars.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
