Ordinance No. 2,2697760 ORDINANCE NO. 2269 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF SAVELL CONTRACTORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATER AND SANITARY SEWER CONNECTIONS ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS, WITH THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO BE BASED UPON THE ACTUAL NUMBER OF CONNECTIONS MADE AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the administration of the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the construction of water and sanitary sewer connections on a unit price basis to be received July 8, 1977; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 1977, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Savell Contractors for the construction of water and sanitary sewer connections in accordance with the invitation to bid and specifications of the City of Baytown as follows: ESTIMATED ESTIMATED QUANTITY DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE TOTAL PRICE 175 3/4" or 1" short side water service connection and tap $ 90.00 $15,750.00 125 3/4" or 1" long side water service connection and tap $100.00 $12,500.00 7761 100 water service connection, no tap $ 1.00 $ 100.00 100 4" or 6" short side sewer service connection and tap $ 50.00 $ 5,000.00 20 4" or 6" long side sewer service connection and tap $ 60.00 $ 1,200.00 225 all equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to extend 1 11/2" water and 4 "/6" sewer lines, as required $ 25.00 $ 5,625.00 $40,175.00 with the compensation to be paid to be based upon the actual number of connections made. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
