ORDINANCE NO. 2265
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown, Texas, owns certain
property, a portion of which is needed for access to a
proposed subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the developer of said subdivision has offered
to purchase said property for its appraised value, construct
street to City of Baytown's specifications thereon, and then
dedicate same to the City; and
WHEREAS, the Tax Department of the City of Baytown has
determined the value of such property to be One Thousand One
Hundred ($1,100) Dollars; and
WHEREAS, Article 5421c V.T.C.S. provides that the City
may sell narrow strips and irregularly shaped pieces of
land for market value without the necessity of taking bids;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown finds
and determines that the fair market value of the property
described in Exhibit "A," is One Thousand One Hundred ($1,100)
Dollars, and is of the opinion that same should be sold for
that sum; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: The sale of the property described in
Exhibit "A" to Gene Branscome Investments is hereby authorized,

and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute and such instruments, if any, necessary for such
conveyance.
Section 2: That this ordinance is to become effective
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City
of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
a majority of the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, this 14th day of July , 1977.

Britton Survey, A -118, Harris County, Texas and being more particularly de-
scribed by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at the Southeast corner of the aforesaid W. Britton Survey, A -118;
THENCE: N 770 42' 00" W., along the common line of the aforesaid W. Britton
Survey, A -118, and the William Scott Lower League A -65 a distance of 2996.56
[[ feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING of the herein described 870 square foot.tract
-of land;
THENCE: N 770 42' 00" W., continuing along the common line of the W. Britton
Survey, A -118, the William Scott Lower League, A -65 a distance of 71.95 feet
to a point for corner, said point marking the intersection of the South right -
of -way line of Ward Road with the common line of the aforesaid W. Britton
Survey, A -118 and the William Scott Lower League, A -65 and being in a curve
to the left;
THENCE: Following aforesaid-South right -of -way line of Ward Road with said
curve to the left, having a radius of 613.69 feet, a central angle of 06°
36' 5011, a chord of N 71° 15' 22" E., 70.80'feet for an arc distance of
70.84 feet to a point for corner, said point marking the intersection of the
aforesaid curve to the left with a curve to the left having a radius of 20.00
feet;
THENCE: Following said curve to the left having a radius'of 20.00 feet, a
central angle of 145" 38' 57 ", a chord of S 04° 52' 31" E., 38.22 feet for an
arc distance of 50:84 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
