Ordinance No. 2,2477634 ORDINANCE NO. 2247 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: On the 23rd day of June, 1977, at 7 :00 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Baytown, Texas, of the following described property, to- wit: Beginning at a point on the mean high tide line of the North bank of Cedar Bayou, said point being located on the existing city limit line of Baytown, Texas, established by City Ordinance No. 407 -A, 04- 12 -57, and having South Texas Plan coordinates X= 3,292,059+ and Y= 720,158 +. THENCE, from the Point of Beginning, South 120 10' 50" East, 1459+ to a point for corner; THENCE, North 770 49' 10" East, 2403+ to a point for corner; THENCE, South 120 10' 50" East, 500+ to a point for the most Southeasterly corner; THENCE, South 770 49' 1011+ West, 3635+ to a point on the mean high tide line of the West bank of Cedar Bayou; THENCE, Northerly and Easterly with the mean high tide of the Northwest and West bank of Cedar Bayou, with its meanders, to the point of intersection with the place of beginning. (Houston Lighting & Power Company) Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having 7635 general circulation in the city and in the above described territory not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended). Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
