ORDINANCE NO. 2181
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF UNIVERSAL FENCE COMPANY,
INC. FOR THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING FENCE AND THE INSTAL-
LATION OF A CHAIN LINK FENCE AT THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE
CENTER FOR THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY -
FOUR AND N01100 ($5,554.00) DOLLARS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City
of Baytown to advertise for bids to the removal of existing
fence and the installation of a chain link fence at the
Municipal Service Center to be received February, 15, 1977;
and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place,
when and where the contract would be let was published
pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the
City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City
Hall at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 1977, as per
published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Universal Fence Company,
Inc. for the removal of existing fence and the installation
of a chain link fence at the Municipal Service Center according
to the plans and specifications set forth by the administration
of the City of Baytown on a timetable of 30 working days for
the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred Fifty -Four and No /100
($5,554.00) Dollars.

Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council on this 24th day of February ,
1977.
