Ordinance No. 2,0897054 ORDINANCE NO. 2089 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 12, "FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTEC- TION," ARTICLE IV, FIRE LANE EASEMENTS, SECTION 12 -47, REQUIREMENTS OF FIRE LANE EASEMENTS, BY REPEALING SUBSECTION (a) AS PRESENTLY CONSTITUTED AND SUBSTITUT- ING IN ITS PLACE A NEW SUBSECTION (a); PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown, Texas, is hereby amended by amending Chapter 12, "Fire Prevention and Protection," Article IV, Fire Lane Easements, Section 12 -47, Requirements of Fire Lane Easements, by repealing subsection (a) thereof, as it presently exists and substituting in its place a new subsection (a) which shall read as follows, to wit: Sec. 12 -47. Requirements of fire lane easements. (a) All structures shall be located so as to be within three hundred (300) feet of a dedicated, accessible, and improved public street or within one hundred fifty (150) feet of a dedicated, accessible, and improved fire lane easement. No dwelling unit of a residential building shall be located more than three hundred (300) feet from a func- tioning fire hydrant.
