AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS,PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING OF YIELD SIGNS AT
CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS;PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF
TWO HUNDRED ANDNO/100 ($200.00)DOLLARS FORTHE VIOLATION
THEREOF;AND PROVIDING FORTHE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE
DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THECITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF
BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas,pursuant to the provisions of Article 6701d,Vernon's
j»"Texas Civil Statutes,does declare the followingdescribed
intersections to be yield intersections,to-wit:
Mesquite Lane at Chaparral Drive
Apache Trail at Chaparral Drive
Cactus Drive at Chaparral Drive
Coyote Lane at Chaparral Drive
Sagebrush Trail at Chaparral Drive
Section 2:The Chief of Police is authorized and
directed to cause the proper signs to be posted at the above
described locations.
Section 3:It shall be unlawful for a driver of a
vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs posted in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance,unless at
the time otherwise directed by a police officer.
Section 4:Any person violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two
Hundred ($200.00)Dollars,and each violation shall consti
tute a separate offense.

Section 5:This ordinance shall take effect from and
after ten (10)days after its passage by the City Council.
TheCity Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by
causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice
within ten (10)days after the passage of this ordinance.
INTRODUCED,READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of
the City Council of the City of Baytown on this 26th day
of August ,1976.
