Ordinance No. 2,0286811 ORDINANCE NO.2028 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFBAYTOWN, TEXAS,ACCEPTING THE BID OF PLANTATION NURSERIES FOR THE PURCHASE OF ESTIMATED QUANTITIES OFPLANTS FOR THE BEAUTIFICATION OF STATE HIGHWAY 146 ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS,WITH THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO BE BASED UPON THE ACTUAL QUANTITIES SUPPLIED AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of estimated quantities of plants for the beautification of State Highway 146 on a unit price basis to be received June 16,1976;and WHEREAS,notice to bidders asto the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;and WHEREAS,all bids wereopened and publicly read at City Hall at 8:30 a.m.,Wednesday,June 16,1976,as per pub lished notice to bidders;NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,hereby accepts the bid of Plantation Nurseries for the purchase of plants forthe beautification of State Highway 146 in accordance with the invitation to bid and specifications of the City of Baytown as follows: j 6812 ESTIMATED QUANTITY 600 600 1,800 600 75 75 100 I1 1' 1' 1' 5' 5' 5' DESCRIPTION Dwarf Hawthorne Dwarf Nandia Creeping Juniper Golden Euonymous Crepe Myrtle Carolina Laural Cherry Loquat Eriobotry Japonica TOTAL UNIT PRICE $1.97 2.73 1.97 2.11 7.05 7.05 7.40 BID ESTIMATED TOTAL PRICE $1,182.00 1,638.00 3,546.00 1,266.00 528.75 528.75 740.00 $9,429.50 with the compensation to be paid tobe based upon the actual quantities supplied.
