AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS,ACCEPTING THEBID OF HOLZAEPFEL CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A PARKS MAINTENANCE AND
STORAGE BUILDING ON PARK STREET AND AUTHORIZING THE
CONTRACTING OF INDEBTEDNESS BY THECITY FOR THE SUM OF
FOURTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED AND NO/100 ($14,700.00)
DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas,did authorize Busch,Hutchison &Associates,Inc.,
Consulting Engineers to the City of Baytown,to advertise
for bids for the construction of the Parks maintenance and
storage building located at 1210 Park Street tobe received
June 1,1976;and
WHEREAS,notice to bidders as to the time and place,
when and where the contract for said construction would be
let was published pursuant to provisions of Vernon's Civil
Statutes,Article 2368a;and
WHEREAS,all bids were opened and publicly read at City
Hall at 10:00 o'clock a.m.,Tuesday,June 1,1976,as per
published notice to bidders;NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas,hereby accepts the bid of Holzaepfel Construction
Company,according to the plans and specifications set forth
by the Consulting Engineers on a construction timetable of
45 working days for the sum of Fourteen Thousand Seven
Hundred and No/100 ($14,700.00)Dollars,and the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City are hereby authorized and directed to
execute andattest to a contract with Holzaepfel Construction
Company for said construction,containing the plans,specifi
cations,and requirements of the Consulting Engineers and
appropriate bond and drawn provisions in accordance with the
provisions of Vernon's Civil Statutes,Article 5160 or
providing thatno money will be paid to said contractor
until completion and acceptance of the work by the City.
Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.

the City Council on this 10th day of June 1976.
