Ordinance No. 1,975ORDINANCE NO.1975 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,ACCEPTING THE BID OF SAFETY LIGHTS COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ESTIMATED QUANTITIES OF EMERGENCY TRAFFIC DEVICES AND EQUIPMENT ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS, WITH THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO BE BASED UPON THE ACTUAL QUANTITIES SUPPLIED AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,did authorize the administration of the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of estimated quantities of emergency traffic devices and equipment on a unit price basis to be received March 22,1976;and WHEREAS,notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;and WHEREAS,all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:30 a.m.,Monday,March 22,1976,as per published notice to bidders;NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,hereby accepts the bid of SafetyLights Company for the purchase of emergency traffic devices and equipment in accordance with the invitation to bid and specifications of the City of Baytown as follows: ESTIMATED QUANTITY 150 150 150 100 100 DESCRIPTION Barricades Lights Traffic Cones Replacement light bulbs UNIT PRICE $18.95 $14.00 $3.25 $0.195 Replacement batteries $1.24 ESTIMATED TOTAL PRICE $2,842.50 $2,100.00 $487.50 $19.50 $124.00 $5,573.50 with the compensation tobe paid to be based upon the actual quantities supplied. Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas.
