Ordinance No. 1,958427 ORDINANCE NO.1958 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,ACCEPTING THE BID OF ARLINGTONEQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC.FOR THE PURCHASE OF ESTIMATED QUANTITIES OF PROTECTIVE COATS ANDPANTS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS,WITH THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO BE BASED UPON THE ACTUAL QUANTITIES SUPPLIED AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,did authorize the PurchasingDepartment for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids forthe purchase of estimated quantities of protective coats and pants forthe Fire Department on a unit price basis tobe received February 17,1976;and WHEREAS,notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;and WHEREAS,all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:30 a.m.,Tuesday,February 17,1976,as per published notice to bidders;NOWTHEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BYTHECITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,hereby accepts thebid of Arlington Equipment Company, Inc.for the purchase of protective coats and pants forthe Fire Department in accordance with the invitation to bid and specifications of the City of Baytown as follows: ESTIMATED QUANTITY 3 15 15 22 DESCRIPTION Red tape Yellow Tape Silver Tape White Tape UNITPRICE $135.34 $135.34 $135.34 $135.34 ESTIMATED TOTAL PRICE $406.02 $2,030.10 $2,030.10 $2,977.48 $7,443.70 with the compensation to be paid to be based upon the actual quantities supplied. Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas.
