AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN,TEXAS,PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING OF STOP
SIGNS AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 18,"MOTOR VEHICLES AND
TRAFFIC,"SECTION 18-117,STOP INTERSECTIONS,PRE
SCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED AND NO/100
($200.00)DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF;AND
PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE
HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
■'"Texas,in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 18,
"Motor Vehicles and Traffic,"Section 18-117,Stop Intersections,
does declare the following described intersection to be a
stop intersection:
FOUR-WAY STOP FOR THE INTERSECTION OF MCKINNEY AND
BOB SMITHROADS
Section 2:The Chief of Police shallcause the proper
signs to be posted at the above described locations.
Section 3:It shall be unlawful for a driver of a
vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in

accordance with the provisions of this ordinance,unless at
the time otherwise directed by a police officer.
Section 4:Any person violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two
Hundred ($200.00)Dollars,and each violation shall constitute
a separate offense.
Section 5:This ordinance shalltake effect from and
after ten (10)days after its passage by the City Council.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by

causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice
within ten (10)days after the passage of this ordinance.
