Ordinance No. 1,938636k ORDINANCE NO.1938 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,ACCEPTING THEBID OF SCOTT'S BORING SERVICE FOR THE BORING FOR WATERLINES ON ROSEWOOD AND IDLEWOOD DRIVES,AND AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACTING OF INDEBTEDNESS BY THE CITY FOR THE SUMOFONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE ($1,575.00)DOLLARS WITH REGARD TOSUCH AGREEMENT. WHEREAS,the Director of Public Works to the City of Baytown did advertise for bids for the boring for waterlines on Rosewood and Idlewood Drives to be received January 14, 1976;and WHEREAS,notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract for said construction would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Vernon's Civil Statutes,Article 2368a;and WHEREAS,all bids wereopened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:30 o'clock a.m.,Wednesday,January 14,1976,as per published notice to bidders;NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BYTHECITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,hereby accepts the bid of Scott's Boring Service, according to the plans and specifications set forth bythe Director of Public Works for the sum of One Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Five ($1,575.00)Dollars,and the Mayor and City Clerk of the City are hereby authorized and directed to execute and attest to a contract with Scott's Boring Service for the boring for waterlines on Rosewood and Idlewood Drives,containing the plans,specifications,and requirements of the Director of Public Works and appropriate bond and drawn provisions in accordance with the provisions of Vernon's Civil Statutes,Article 5160. 6365 Section 2:This ordinance shalltake effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, INTRODUCED,READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council on this 22nd day of January,1976. k s&"- TOM GENTRY,Mayor V ATTEST: EILEEN P.HALL,'City Clerk APPROVED: NEEL -2-
