ORDINANCE NO.1897
AN ORDINANCE OFTHECITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS,ACCEPTING THE BID OF LUMUS BAYTOWN DODGE FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TWENTY-FOUR POLICE VEHICLES,CITY OF BAYTOWN
BID NO.7510-1 AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF
THESUM OFONE HUNDRED THREE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY-
SIXAND NO/100 ($103,886.00)DOLLARS.
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas,
did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of
Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of twenty-four
police vehicles to be received October 17,1975;and
WHEREAS,notice to bidders as to the time and place,
when and where the contract would be let was published
pursuant to the provisions of Section 74 of the Charter
of the City of Baytown;and
WHEREAS,all bids were opened and publicly read at City
Hall at 10:30 a.m.,Friday,October 17,1975,as per published
notice to bidders;NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas,hereby accepts thebid of Lumus Baytown Dodge for the
purchase of twenty-four police vehicles,City of Baytown Bid
No.7410-1 and authorizes payment of the sum of One Hundred Three
Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Six and No/100 ($103,886.00)
Dollars.
INTRODUCED,READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the
City Council on this 23rd day of October,1975,
