Ordinance No. 1,866.6102 ORDINANCE NO.1866 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHECITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,SELECTING A CITY DEPOSITORY PURSUANT TO THE TERMS AND PROVISIONS OF THE APPLICATION AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,pursuant to the provisions of Article 2559, Vernon's TexasCivil Statutes,the City of Baytown is authorized to receive applications for the custody of City funds from any banking corporation,association or individual banker doing business within the City that may desire to be selected as depository of the City;and WHEREAS,notice that such applications would be received on the5th day of September,1975,was published pursuant to Article 2559,Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes,on the 28th day of August,1975,which is not less than one week nor more thanfour weeks before such date and notice was personally given to each banking corporation in the City of Baytown by the Director of Finance of the City of Baytown;and WHEREAS,pursuant to Article 2560,V.T.C.S.,the governing body is to select as depository the banking corporation, association,or individual banker offering the most favorable y terms and conditions for the handling of the City's funds; and WHEREAS,theCity of Baytown did receive applications from banking corporations,associations,and/or individual bankersdoing business within the City to serve as the depository of the City funds;and WHEREAS,the City Council deems that CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY has offered the most favorable terms and conditions forthe handling of such funds;NOW THEREFORE, y 6103 BE IT ORDAINED BYTHECITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1:That the City Council hereby finds that CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY has offered the most favorable terms and conditions for the handling of the City's funds. Section 2:That CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY is selected as the Depository of the City of Baytown,Texas, consistent with the terras and provisions of its application. Section 3:This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
