AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN,TEXAS,REPEALING ORDINANCE NO.1038 DULY
ENACTED ON THE 27TH DAY OF AUGUST,1970,AND
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK OFTHE CITY OFBAYTOWN,
TEXAS,TO FILE A RELEASE OFTHE NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT
FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas,by Ordinance No.1038 duly enacted on the 27th day of
August,1970,did determine the necessity forand order the
permanent improvement of Baker Road from the East side of
Garth Road to the West side of North Main Street;and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown
did by said Ordinance direct the City Clerk of the City of
Baytown to file a Notice of Assessment for StreetImprovement
with the County Clerk;and
WHEREAS,said improvement is now being constructed
by Harris County;NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1:That the City Council of the City of
Baytown,Texas,does hereby repeal the provisions of Ordinance
No.1038 duly enacted on the 27th day of August,1970,and
does hereby direct the City Clerk of the City of Baytown to
file a release of the Notice of Assessment for Street Improvement
filed in Volume 8134 at Page 508 of the Harris County Deed
Records.
Section 2:Effective Date:This ordinance shall
take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
