Ordinance No. 1,843ORDINANCE NO.1843 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING OF STOP SIGNS AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 18,"MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC,"SECTION 18-117,STOP INTERSECTIONS,PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUMPENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED AND NO/100 ($200.00)DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF;AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: ms Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 18,"Motor Vehicles and Traffic,"Section 18-117,Stop Intersections,does declare the followingdescribed intersections to bestop inter sections,to wit: Woodway Drive at Northwood Drive Woodhollow Drive at Northwood Drive Allenbrook Drive at Rollingbrook Drive Creekbend Drive at Rollingbrook Drive Wright Boulevard at Danubina Street StoweStreet at Oak Street Wright Boulevard at BayouDrive Section 2:The Chief of Police shall cause the proper signs tobe posted at the above described locations. Section 3:It shall be unlawful for a driver ofa vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance,unless at the time other wise directed by a police officer. Section 4:Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two Hundred ($200.00)Dollars,and each violation shall constitute a separate offense. Section 5:This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10)days after its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10)daysafter the passage of this ordinance.
