Ordinance No. 1,840ORDINANCE NO.1840 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THECITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,ACCEPTING THE BID OF ANAHUAC TOWING &SHELL COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF ESTIMATED QUANTITIES OF CEMENT STA BILIZED SAND ON A UNIT PRICE BASIS,WITH THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO BE BASED UPON THE ACTUAL QUANTITIES SUPPLIED AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,did authorize the PurchasingDepartment for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of estimated quantities of cement stabilized sand on a unit pricebasis to be received July 11,1975;and WHEREAS,notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown;and WHEREAS,all bidswere opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:30 a.m.,Friday,July 11,1975,as per published notice to bidders;NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas,hereby accepts the bid of Anahuac Towing &Shell Company for the purchase of cement stabilized sand in accordance with the invitation to bid and specifications of the City of Baytown as follows: ESTIMATED ESTIMATED QUANTITY DESCRIPTION UNIT PRICE TOTAL PRICE Plantsite Plantsite 10,000 tons 1 1/2 sk.cement stab,sand $6.25 $62,500.00 100 tons 2 1/2 sk.cement stab,sand $8.30 $830.00 with the compensation to be paid to be based upon the actual quantities supplied. Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas.
