Ordinance No. 1,809ORDINANCE NO.1809 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO APPROPRIATE FIVE HUNDRED SIXTEEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED NINETY-NINE AND NO/100 ($516,699.00)DOLLARS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED SIXTH ENTITLEMENT PERIOD FUNDS OF GENERAL REVENUE SHARING,1976 TO THE FOLLOWING BUDGET ACCOUNTS:7610,PUBLIC SAFETY;7620,ENVIRONMENTAL PRO TECTION;7630,PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION;7650,RECREATION; 7660,LIBRARIES;7670,SOCIAL SERVICES FOR THE POOR AND AGED AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,the City of Baytown will receive thesum of Five Hundred Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Nine and No/100 ($516,699.00)Dollars which represents the City's portion of revenue sharing funds for the entitlement period of July 1,1975 through June 30,1976;and WHEREAS,a public hearing on the use of these funds was held onMay 22,1975,in the City Council Chambers.of City Hall at 7:00 o'clock p.m.;and WHEREAS,the City Council has determined the manner in which these funds should be expended;NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1:THAT the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to appropriate Five Hundred Sixteen Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Nine and No/100 ($516,699.00) Dollars from the unappropriated Sixth Entitlement Period Funds of General Revenue Sharing,1976 to the following accounts,to wit: 7610 PublicSafety $9,000.00 7620 Environmental Protection 100,000.00 7630 Public Transportation 366,699.00 7650 Recreation 15,000.00 7660 Libraries 11,000.00 7670 Social Services for the Poor and Aged 15,000.00 TOTAL APPROPRIATION $516,699.00 Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas.
