AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE,TIME AND PLACE FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY BY THECITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS;AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OFSUCH
PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN:
Section 1:On the 12th day of June ,1975,at
7:00 o'clock p.m.in the City Council Chamber of the City
Hall of the City of Baytown,Texas,the City Council will
hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by
the City of Baytown,Texas,of the following described
property,to wit:
BEING a tract of land out ofthe Harvey Whiting Survey,
A-840,and being a part of that certain 140.002 acre
tract of land conveyed to Gene Branscorae by Lillian
Wilburn,by deed filed for record on September 11,1974,
under County Clerk File Number E254038 /Harris
County,Texas,and being more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at a point in the West right of way ^
of Busch Road,said point being the Southeast corner
of the above mentioned 140.002 acre tract,said point
also being the Northeast corner of a tract now or
previously owned by Hance Busch;
THENCE,South 89°51'25"West with the South line*of
the above mentioned 140.002 acre tract andthe North
line of the HanceBuschtract a distance of 99.9.81
feet to a point situated in the original North right
of way line of Baker Road (80'right of way)said
point also being the Northwest corner of the Hance
Busch tract,said point also being situated in the
North line of the City limits of the City of.Baytown;
Thence South 89°51I25"West continuing with the original
North right of way line of Baker Road (80'right of;way)
andthe North City limits line of the City of BaytoVm
a distance of389.55feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of
this tract;
THENCE from the POINT OF BEGINNING South 89°51'25"
West continuing with the original North right of way
lineof Baker Road (80'right of way)and the North
City limits line of the City of Baytown a distance of
1,481.76 feet to a point situated in the centerline of
Goose Creek Stream;
THENCE Northerly with the meanders of the centerline
of GooseCreek Stream as follows:North 3°6I12"East,
184.41 feet;North 02°59l25"East,129.67 feet;North
07°36'09"West,108.25 feet;North 15°35l30"West,
118.40 feet;North 10°13I48"West,228.37 feet;North
04044139..East,193.39 feet;North 07°27'06"West,
187.82 feet to a point for the Northwest corner of
the tract herein described;
THENCE North 74°31'40"East with the North line of
this tract a distance of 1,742.12 feet to an angle
point;
THENCE North 89°24'23"East continuing with the North
line ofthis tract a distance of 175.00 feet to a point
forthe Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE South 01°08l15"West with the East line of this
tract a distance of 82.0 feet to an angle point;
THENCE South 08o04'27"West continuing with theEast
line ofthis tract a distance of 82.0 feet toan angle
point;
THENCE South 15°21I47"West continuing with the East
line of this tract a distance of 82.0 feet to an angle
point;
THENCE South 18°36'13"West continuing with the East
line of this tract a distance of 70.0feet to an
angle point;
THENCE South 13°59'24"West continuing with the East

angle point;
THENCE North 74°31'40"East continuing with the East
lineof this tract a distance of150.00 feet to an
angle point,said point also being situated in a
curve;
THENCE in a Southerly direction with a curve to the
left having a radius of 548.70 feet and a curvilinear
distance of 141.56 feet to the Point of Tangency;
THENCE South 15o28'2.0"East with a East line of this
tract a distance of 280.00 feet to a point situated
in the North line of a Texas Eastern 120 foot Easement;
THENCE South 74°31'40"West with the North line of the
above mentioned Texas Eastern 120 foot Easement a
distance of451.30feet to a point;
THENCE South 0°08'35"East with a East line of this
tract passing at 613.79 feet the present Northright
of way line of Baker Road in all a distance of 632.32
feet the POINT OF BEGINNING of this tract enclosing

Section 2:The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is
hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such
public hearing tobe published once in a newspaper having
general circulation in the cityand in the above described
territory not more than twenty (20)days nor less thanten
(10)days prior to the date of such public hearing,all in
accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160,
Acts of the 58th Legislature,Regular Session,1963;compiled
as 970a,Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes,as amended).
Section 3:This ordinance shall take effect from and
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
