Ordinance No. 1,766/$ ORDINANCE NO.1766 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS,BY THE AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER 18, "MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC,"ARTICLE VII,"TRUCK ROUTES,"SECTION 18-191,CERTAIN COMMERCIAL VEHICLES RESTRICTED TO SPECIFIED TRUCK ROUTES,PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUMPENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED ANDNO/100 ($200.00) DOLLARS FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF;AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION ANDEFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1:That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Baytown,Texas,is hereby amended by amending Chapter 18, "Motor Vehicles and Traffic,"Article VII,"Truck Routes," Section 18-191,Certain commercial vehicles restricted to specified truck routes,by the deletion and addition of specific streets as truck routes as follows: Article VII.Truck Routes. Section 18-191.Certain commercial vehicles restricted to specified truck routes. DELETE:Wooster-Cedar Bayou Road -from Airhart to Bayway Drive; Bayway Drive -from Wisconsin Street to Baytown Avenue; All of State Highway No.201. ADD:All of Park Street; All of Garth Road; Baker Road from Decker Drive to North Main; All of Loop 201. Section 2:The Chief of Police shall cause the proper signs to be posted at the above described locations. Section 3:It shall be unlawful for a driver of a vehicle to disobey the instructions of the signs placed in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance,unless at the time otherwise directed by a police officer. Section 4:Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shallbe punished by a fine of not more than Two Hundred ($200.00)Dollars,and each violation shall constitute a separate offense. Section 5:This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10)days after its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10)days after the passage of this ordinance.
