AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE,TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS;AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATETHEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1:On the 9thday of May,1974,at 7:00 o'clock p.m.in the City
Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Baytown,Texas,the City Council
will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear
and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Baytown,Texas,of the
followingdescribed property,to-wit:
BEGINNING ata point on the existing city limit line of the Cityof Baytown,
said pointbeing on the West right of way line of Chaparral Drive at a distance
200 feet North of the North right of way line of Massey-Tompkins Drive;
THENCE,North 81 degrees,10 minutes,37 seconds East,over and across
Chaparral Drive,a distance of approximately 320 feet to a point for
corner,said point being the Southwest corner of Chaparral Village
Section One;
THENCE,North 11 degrees,15 minutes,55 seconds West,a distance of
614.49 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE,South 82 degrees,58 minutes,14 seconds West,a distance of
267.03 feet to a point on theEast right of way line of Chaparral Drive;
THENCE,South 46 degrees,58 minutes,25 seconds West,over and across
Chaparral Drive,a distance of 70.57 feet to a point on the West right
of way line of Chaparral Drive;
THENCE,South IT degrees,05 minutes,28 seconds West,along the West
line of Chaparral Drive,a distance of 592.0 feet to the POINT OF BE
GINNING.(McNulty Tract)
Section 2:The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a news
paper having general circulation in the city and in the above described territory
not more than twenty (20)days nor less than ten (10)days prior to the date of
such public hearing,all in accordance with theMunicipal Annexation Act (Chapter
160,Acts of the 58th Legislature,Regular Session,1963;compiled as 970a,Vernon's
Texas Civil Statutes,as amended).
Section 3:This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.
