Ordinance No. 1,551f ORDINANCE NO.1551 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THECITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS, AUTHORIZINGTHE PAYMENT OF NINETEEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND NO/lOO ($19,300.00)DOLLARS TO LOCKWOOD,ANDREWS AND NEWNAM,INC., ENGINEERS-PLANNERS,FOR COMPILING A FEASIBILITY STUDY FORTHE DE VELOPMENT OF A WATER SUPPLYSYSTEM FOR THE SERVICE AREA OF THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER AUTHORITY AMD PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,by Ordinance No.1492 duly passed by the City Council of theCity of Baytown in its regular meeting October 25,1973,the City Council authorized a contract with Lockwood,Andrews and Newnam,Inc.for compiling a feasibility study for the development of a water supply system for the service area of the Baytown Area WaterAuthority;and WHEREAS,the firm of Lockwood,Andrews and Newnam,Inc.has completed this study and the Board of the Baytown Area Water Authority has accepted this study and the recommendation made therein;and WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas,in a Special meeting February 7,1974 did accept the "Feasibility Study of New Water Supply System"prepared for the City of Baytown,Texas,and Baytown Area Water Authority by Lockwood,Andrews and Newnam,Inc,Engineers-Planners,and did accept the recommendation of the Board of the Baytown Area WaterAuthority that the report and the recommendation therein be accepted;NOW THEREFORE, BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas,does hereby approve and accept said study and authorizes final payment to the said Andrews,Lockwood and Newnam,Inc.in the amount of Nineteen Thousand Three Hundred and No/100 ($19,300.00)Dollars. Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas.
