AN ORDINANCE SETTINGA DATE,TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED DISANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITYOF
BAYTOWN,TEXAS;AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUB
LISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OFBAYTOWN:
Section 1:On the 24th day of .lanuary »1974,at 7:00
o'clock p.m.in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of
Baytown,Texas,the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all in
terested partiesthe right to appear and be heard on the proposed disannexation
by the City of Baytown,Texas,of the following described property,to-wit:
499773 acres TocatedTrf the "WTlliam Scott Upper League,Abstract 66,Harris
County,Texas,outof and partof that certain tract commonly known as the
Exxon Company,U.S.A.,Baytown Refinery site.Said 499.73 acres being des
cribed more fully as follows:
BEGINNING at a 3/4-inch iron rod in the south right-of-way line ofPark
Street,formerly known as First Street,at the northwest corner of the
Busch Terrace Subdivision according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume
9,Page 10,Map Records,Harris County,Texas:
THENCE,south 31°55'west (called south 34°west)with the west line
of said Busch Terrace Subdivision 125 feet to the southwest corner of
Lot 1,Block 1;
THENCE,south 58°05'east (called south 56°east),parallel with and
125 feet south of the south line of Park Street,1,118 feet to the northeast
cornerof Lot A,Block 5,Busch Terrace Subdivision;
THENCE,parallel to and 100 feet west of the west line of Airhart Drive(formerly known as Baytown Avenue)south 31°55'west (called south 34°

Section 2:The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a news
paper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory
not more than twenty (20)days nor lessthan ten (10)days prior tothe date of
such public hearing.
Section 3:This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage
0*by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
