AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF BAYTOWN,TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 0.057 ACRES,MORE OR LESS,FROM
FLOYD E.HART AND WIFE,MERDIE L.HART,FOR RIGHTOF WAY PUR
POSES ON MASSEY-TOMPKINS ROAD AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO FLOYD
E.HART AND WIFE,MERDIE L.HART,FOR THE SUM OF ONE THOUSAND
THREE HUNDRED AND NO/100 ($1,300.00)DOLLARS AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes
the purchase of 0.057 acres,more or less,forright of way purposes to improve
Massey-Tompkins Road in Baytown,Harris County,Texas,saidproperty being
described as follows,to-wit:
BEING a parcel of land out of the J.W.Singleton Survey,A-709,City of Baytown,
Harris County,Texas;and being a part of that certain tract of land conveyedtoFloydE.Hart et ux Merdie L.by deed recorded in Volume 5991 at Page 345
of the Deed Records of Harris County,Texas;and being more particularly des
cribed by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of the above mentioned Hart tract,
said pointbeing located in the existing North right-of-way line of
Massey-Tompkins Road;
THENCE,North 81°13'18"East with the existing North line of Massey-
Tompkins Road a distance of 103.75 feet to the Southeast corner of the
Hart tract;
THENCE,North 1°25'32"West with the East line of the Hart tract a dis
tance of 19.49 feet;
THENCE,South 86°25'20"West,over andacross the Hart tract a distance
of 101.43 feet to the West line of the Hart tract;
THENCE,South 1°37'18"West a distance of 29.0 feet to the POINT OFBEGINNING,
enclosing a tract of land containing 2,467.445 square feet or 0.057 acres.
and authorizes payment to Floyd E.Hart and wife,Merdie L.Hart,of the sum
of One Thousand Three Hundred and No/100 ($1,300.00)Dollars.
Section 2:Effective Date:This ordinnace shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage bythe City Council of the City of Baytown.
