Ordinance No. 1,449ORDINANCE NO.1449 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO APPROPRIATE FIVE HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND TWOHUNDRED THIRTY AND NO/100 ($512,230.00)DOLLARS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED FOURTH ENTITLEMENT PERIOD FUNDS OF GENERAL REVENUE SHARING,1974 TO THE FOLLOWING BUDGET ACCOUNTS, 74-70,SOCIAL SERVICES FOR THE AGED;74-60,LIBRARIES;74-50,RECREATION AND CULTURE;74-30,TRANSPORTATION,74-20,ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS,the City of Baytown will receivethe sum of Five Hundred Twelve Thousand Two Hundred Thirty andNo/100 ($512,230.00)Dollars which represents the City's portion of revenue sharing funds for the entitlement period of July 1, 1973 through June 30,1974;and WHEREAS,a public hearing on the use of these funds was held on August 23, 1973,in the City Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 o'clock p.m.;and WHEREAS,the City Council has determined the manner in which these funds should be expended;NOW THEREFORE, BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1:THAT the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to appropriate Five Hundred Twelve Thousand Two Hundred Thirty and No/100 ($512,230.00)Dollars from the unappropriated Fourth Entitlement Period Funds of General Revenue Sharing,1974 to the following accounts,to-wit: 74-70 Social Services for the Aged $15,000.00 74-60 Libraries 10,000.00 74-50 Recreation and Culture 42,000.00 74-30 Transportation 380,230.00 74-20 Environmental Conservation 65,000.00 TOTAL APPROPRIATION $512,230.00" Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council ofthe City of Baytown,Texas. NOES:None. 2.That a true,full,and correct copy of the aforesaid ordinance adopted at the meeting described in the above and foregoing paragraph is attached to and follows this certificate;that said ordinance has beenduly recorded in said City Council's minutes of said meeting;that the persons named in the above and fore going paragraph are the duly chosen,qualified,and acting officers and members of said City Council as indicated therein;thateach of the officers and members of said City Council was duly and sufficientlynotified officially and personally in advance,of the time,place,and purpose of the aforesaid meeting,and that said ordinance would be introduced and considered for adoption at said meeting; that said meeting was open to the public as required by law;and that public notice of the time,place,and subject of said meeting was given as required by.Article 6252-17,Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes,as amended. 3.The Mayor of said City has approved,and hereby approves,the afore said ordinance:the Mayor and the City Clerk of said City haveduly signed said ordinance;and the Mayor and City Clerk of said City hereby declare that their signing of this certificate shall also constitute the signing of the attached and following copyof said ordinance for all purposes.
