AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR THE PERMANENT INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN ON
HOUSTON STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH HINES STREET ANDPRO
VIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION,PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE
DATE HEREOF.
BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1:That the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas,upon
recommendation by the Council Traffic Committee does hereby authorize the
permanent installation of a stop sign on the following named street,highway,
or part thereof described as follows:
Stop sign on Houston Street at its intersection with
Hines Street
Section 2:The Chief ofPolice is hereby authorized and directed to
cause a stop sign tobe permanently installed at the above intersection.
Section 3:Any person violating the provisions ofthis ordinance shall
be punished by a fine of not more than Two Hundred ($200.00)Dollars,and each
violation shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 4:Effective Date:This ordinance shall take effect from and
after ten (10)days after its passage by the City Council.The City Clerk is
herebydirected to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance
to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at leasttwice
within ten (10)days after its passage.

of the City of Baytown,Texas,on this 12th day of July ,
1973.
