AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF•BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS AS NO- PARKING ZONES A$ PROVIDED BY
SECTION 18 -122 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR THE EF-
FECTIVE DATE AND THE PUBLICATION HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section l: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 18 -122 of the Code of
Ordinances, the following described portions of Whiting Street, North Pruett,
and Decker Drive are hereby declared to be no- parking zones, and parking of
0 vehicles of any nature within such areas or zones shall be prohibited as follows:
(a) Whiting Street, from the west side of South Whiting Street, south,
from 60 feet south of West American Avenue to the dead end of South
Whiting Street, being 270 feet in length. Parking of vehicles within
such area is hereby prohibited at all times.
(b) Both sides of North Pruett, from Defee to Morrell. Parking of vehicles
prohibited from 6:00 o'clock a.m. to 6:00 o'clock p.m. daily, Monday -
through Saturday.
(c) Decker Drive, from Thomas Circle to Garth Road on both sides, excluding
angle parking at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital. Parking of vehicles
within such area is hereby prohibited at all times.
Section 2: The Chief of Police is hereby authorized and directed to cause the
no- parking zones above described to be clearly indicated by appropriate signs or
marking of pavement.
® Section 3 This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days
after its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the offi-
ciaT newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after its
passage.
