AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ACCEPTING THE BID OF JIM BALL MOTOR COMPANY FOR THE PURCHASE OF
ONE TRACTOR TO BE UTILIZED BY THE WATER PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT OF
THE CITY OF BAYTOWN AND ONE TRACTOR /MOWER COMBINATION TO BE UTILIZED
BY THE PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN AND AU-
THORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF FOUR THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY -
SEVEN AND 87/100 ($4,677.87) DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH ACCEPTANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the
Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the pur-
chase of one tractor to be utilized by the Water Production Department and one
tractor /mower combination to be utilized by the Parks & Recreation Department
to be received February 14, 1973; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the
contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the
Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:15 a.m.
Wednesday, February 14, 1973, as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby
accepts the bid of Jim Ball Motor Company for the purchase of one tractor for
the Water Production Department of the City of Baytown on a delivery timetable
of 30 calendar days for the sum of Two Thousand Eighty -Five and 51/100 ($2,085.51)
Dollars and the purchase of one tractor /mower combination for the Parks & Recreation
Department of the City of Baytown on a delivery timetable of 30 calendar days for
the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Ninety -Two and 36/100 ($2,592.36) Dollars.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby au-
thorizes the payment of the sum of Four Thousand Six Hundred Seventy -Seven and 87/10[
($4,677.87) Dollars with regard to such acceptance.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of
the City of Baytown this 22nd day of February 1973.
