Ordinance No. 1,324ORDINANCE NO. 1324 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, RE- PEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1319 ADOPTED IN AN EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 14, 1972; OFFICIALLY CONFIRMING, RATIFYING APPROVING, AND RE- ENACTING ACTION HERETOFORE TAKEN BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 1305, A- DOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL IN AN EXECUTIVE SESSION ON NOVEMBER 28, 1972; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That Ordinance No. 1319, introduced, read and passed in an executive session on December 14, 1972 is hereby repealed and declared to have no force and effect. Section 2: That Ordinance No. 1305 as introduced, read and passed in an executive session on November 28, 1972 is hereby formally ratified, approved, and re- enacted to -wit: ORDINANCE NO. 1305 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF 0.0690 ACRES MORE OR LESS FROM HUMBLE OIL & REFINING COMPANY AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY FOR THE SUM OF EIGHT THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY EIGHT AND 10/100 ($8,378.10) DOLLARS AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the purchase of 0.0690 acres more or less being particularly described as follows, to -wi t: BEING a parcel of land out of the Harvey Whiting Survey, A -840, Harris County, Texas, being a portion of that certain 0.8797 acre tract of land conveyed to Humble Oil & Refining Company from Goose Creek Masonic Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 7097, at Page 540, Harris County, Deed Records, Harris County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: V BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the West right -of -way line of Garth Road and the North right -of -way line of a drainage ditch being also the Southeast corner of the above mentioned 0.8797 acre tract; THENCE, North 1 °12'52" West with the West right -of -way line of Garth Road a distance of 218.96 feet to the point of intersection of the West right -of -way line of Garth Road and the South right -of -way line of Texas State Highway Loop 201, said point also being the Northeast corner of the above mentioned 0.8797 acre tract; THENCE, South 88 °21'56" West with the South right -of -way line of Texas State Highway Loop 201, a distance of 50.22 feet to a corner; THENCE, South 46 012'52" East, a distance of 56.88 feet to an angle point; THENCE, South 1 012'52" East, a distance of 178.45 feet to a point in the North right -of -way line of the aforementioned drainage ditch; THENCE, North 88 °21'56" East with the North right -of -way line of the aforementioned drainage ditch a distance of 10.0 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, enclosing a parcel of land containing 0.0690 acres, more or less. from Humble Oil & Refining Company and authorizes the payment by the City of a sum of Eight Thousand Three Hundred Seventy -Eight and 10/100 ($8,378.10) Dollars. Section 3: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
