AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ACCEPTING THE BID OF MARINE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF KEMAH FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A BOAT RAMP AND DOCK AT ROSELAND PARK FOR THE SUM
OF SIXTEEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NO /100 ($16,400.00) DOLLARS
WITH REGARD TO SUCH AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize Busch,
Hutchison & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers to the City of Baytown, to ad-
vertise for bids for the construction of a boat ramp and dock at Roseland Park to
be received December 5, 1972; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the
contract for said construction would be let was published pursuant to provisions
of Vernon's Civil Statutes, Article 2368a; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 o'clock
a.m., Tuesday, December 5, 1972 as per published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby
accepts the bid of Marine Construction Company of Kemah for the construction of
a boat ramp and dock at Roseland Park according to the plans and specifications
set forth by the Consulting Engineers on a construction timetable of 45 days for
the sum of Sixteen Thousand Four Hundred and No /100 ($16,400.00) Dollars, and the
Mayor and City Clerk of the City are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and attest to a contract with Marine Construction Company of Kemah for the con-
struction of said boat ramp and dock at Roseland Park, containing the plans,
specifications and requirements of the Consulting Engineers and appropriate bond
and drawn provisions in accordance with the provisions of Vernon's Civil Statutes,
Article 5160.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council
on the 14th day of December 1972.
