Ordinance No. 1,293ORDINANCE NO. 1293 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF LUMUS BAYTOWN DODGE FOR EIGHT TRUCKS AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF TWENTY -SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETY -FIVE AND 79/100 ($27,495.79) DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH ACCEPTANCE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for the purchase of eight trucks for use by various departments of the City of Baytown to be received November 1, 1972; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 1, 1972, as per the published notice to bidders; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Lumus Baytown Dodge for the purchase of eight trucks on a delivery date of 120 to 150 days for the sum of Twenty -Seven Thousand Four Hun- dyed Ninety -Five and 79/100 ($27,495.79) Dollars; said trucks and their unit prices being as follows, to -wit: Two Trucks for Refuse Department $10,991.14 One Truck for Water Distribution 3,012.30 One Pickup Truck for Humane Department 2,513.65 Two Pickup Trucks for Inspection Department 5,899.90 One Pickup Truck for Sewage Treatment Department 2,539.40 One Pickup Truck for Parks Department 2,439.40 TOTAL PURCHASE $27,535.79 INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council this 9th day of November 1972. i C.
