ORDINANCE NO. 1260
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ACCEPTING THE BID OF HAMRIC CHEVROLET FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE
(1) NEW POLICE VEHICLE, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF THE
SUM OF THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO /100 ($3,650.00)
DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize
the Purchasing Department for the City of Baytown to advertise for bids for a
new police vehicle to be received July 28, 1972; and
WHEREAS, notice to bidder as to the time and place, when and where the
contract would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Section 74 of the
Charter of the City of Baytown; and
WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:15
a.m., Friday, July 28, 1972, as per the published notice to bidders.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby
accepts the bid of Hamric Chevrolet for the purchase of one (1) new police vehicle
according to the plans and specifications set forth by the Purchasing Department
on a delivery date of I day for the sum of Three Thousand Six Hundred Fifty and
No /100 ($3,650.00) Dollars, and authorizes the payment of Three Thousand Six
Hundred Fifty and No /100 ($3,650.00) Dollars to Hamric Chevrolet in this regard.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council
on this 1st day of August _ _, 1972.
