Ordinance No. 1,245ORDI ?DANCE NO. 1245 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF 0.7733 ACRES MORE OR LESS OUT OF THE HILBUS SURVEY, A -336, FROM W. E. JONES AND HAZEL M. JONES; AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY FOR THE SLIM OF THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND NO /100 ($3,500.00) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section l: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby au- thorizes the purchase of 0.7733 acres more or less out of the Hilbus Survey, A -336 being particularly described as follows, to -wit: BEING a portion of Lot 4, Block 27 of Highland Farms, an addition out of the William Hilbus Survey, A -336, Harris County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at an iron rod marking the Northeast corner of the above mentioned Lot 4, said corner lying South 0 °34' West a distance of 179.05 feet from the South right -of -way line of Decker Drive; THENCE, South 0 °34' West a distance of 307 feet the Southeast corner of Lot 4, said point lying in the Easterly right -of -way line of the San Jacinto River Authority canal; THENCE, North 36 °37'49" West with the Easterly right -of -way line of the San Jacinto River Authority canal a distance of 245.64 feet to a Point of Tangency in the said right -of -way line; THENCE, with the said right -of -way, a curve to the right having a radius of 177.94 feet, a curvilinear distance of 117.45 feet to a point in the North line of the said Lot 4; THENCE, North 90° East with the North line of Lot 4, a distance of 184.71 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, enclosing a tract of land containing 0.7733 acres, more or less. from W. E. JONES and HAZEL M. JONES and authorizes the payment by the City of a sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred and No /100 ($3,500.00) Dollars. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
