AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF 0.926 ACRES MORE OR LESS
FROM ASHBEL SMITH LAND COMPANY; AND AUTHORIZING THE PAY-
MENT BY THE CITY FOR THE SUM OF SEVENTY -FIVE HUNDRED AND
NO /100 ($7,500.00) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby au-
thorizes the purchase of an easement across 0.926 acres more or less being
particularly described as follows, to -wit:
EASEMENT NO. 1:
BEING a permanent easement ten (10') feet in width out of the Ashbel Smith
Land Company Tract in the William Scott Lower League, Abstract 65, Harris
County, Texas, and being the same property described in deed dated November
29, 1935, from B. W. Armstrong et al to Ashbel Smith Land Company and re-
corded in Volume 996 at Page 379 of the Deed Records of Harris County, Texas,
the center line of said 10 foot wide easement being described as follows:
COMMENCING at the intersection of the North line of said Ashbel Smith
Land Company Tract and the East right of way line of State Highway No.
146;
THENCE, South 14 °9'42" West with the East right of way line of State
Highway No. 146, a distance of 49.80 feet to a point;
THENCE, South 11 °2' West continuing with the East right of way line
of State Highway No. 146, a distance of 25.73 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING;
THENCE, South 70 °56'4" East with a line that is parallel to and a per-
pendicular distance of 75 feet from the North line of said Ashbel Smith
Land Company Tract, a distance of 1524.14 feet to a point situated in
the West right of way line of Tri -City Beach Road for the Eastern ter-
minus of this easement.
EASEMENT NO. 2:
BEING a permanent easement ten (10') feet in width out of the Ashbel Smith
Land Company Tract in the William Scott Lower League, Abstract 65, Harris
County, Texas, the center line of said 10 foot wide permanent easement being
described as follows:

COMMENCING in the East right of way line of Tri -City Beach Road which
is the Southwest corner of Block Nine (9) of Roseland Oaks Subdivision
in the City of Baytown;
THENCE, South 72 °8'59" East with the South line of said Block Nine (9)
of Roseland Oaks Subdivision, a distance of 8.87 feet to a point;
THENCE, South 5 °47'42" East with the East right of way line of Tri -City
Beach Road, a distance of 5.52 feet to a point;
THENCE, South 70 °45'51" East with a line that is parallel and 5 feet
perpendicular to the North line of the above mentioned Ashbel Smith
Land Company Tract, a distance of 1075.64 feet to an angle point;
THENCE, South 69 027'18" East continuing with a line that is parallel
and 5 feet perpendicular to the North line of the above mentioned
Ashbel Smith Land Company Tract, a distance of 712.01 feet to an
angle point;
THENCE, South 68 °54'53" East continuing with a line that is parallel
and 5 feet perpendicular to the North line of the above mentioned
Ashbel Smith Land Company Tract, a distance of 719.84 feet to a point
for the Eastern terminus of this easement.
from Ashbel Smith Land Company and authorizes the payment by the City of a sum
of Seven -Five Hundred and No /100 ($7,500.00) Dollars.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage
by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
