Ordinance No. 1,223ORDINANCE NO. 1223 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF GENE B. HAZELWOOD FOR THE RENOVATION OF ROSELAND POOL AS PART OF THE CAPITAL IM- PROVEMENTS PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACTING OF INDEBTED- NESS BY THE CITY FOR THE SUM OF FORTY THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY -SEVEN AND NO 100 ($40.6L7.00= DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH AGREEMENT. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, did authorize A. J. Busch, Consulting Engineer for the City of Baytown, to advertise for bids for the renovation of Roseland Pool to be received May 10, 1972; and WHEREAS, notice to bidders as to the time and place, when and where the contract for said renovation would be let was published pursuant to provisions of Vernon's Civil Statutes Article 2368a; and WHEREAS, all bids were opened and publicly read at City Hall at 10:00 o'clock a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 1972, as per the published notice to bidders. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOUN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby accepts the bid of Gene B. Hazelwood for the renovation of Roseland Pool, Job No. 72 -516, according to the plans and specifications set forth by the City Engineer on a construction timetable at 40 days for the sum of and no /100 ($40,657.00) Forty Thousand Six Hundred Fifty -Seven Dollars, and the Mayor and City Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute and attest to a contract with Gene B. Hazelwood for the renovation of Roseland Pool containing the plans, specifications and requirements of the City Engineer and appropriate bond and drawn provisions in accordance with the provisions of Vernon's Civil Statutes Article 5160.
